Copleston High School is a popular 11-18 mixed comprehensive noted for its caring and disciplined
atmosphere. It was judged as a “good school with outstanding features” by Ofsted in December
2023. As a school we are committed to continually raising standards of learning and teaching
within all subject areas. You will be impressed by the behaviour, ethos and outcomes of students
across the school.
We are looking for a specialist Business and Economics teacher to join a growing and exceptionally
well-resourced department. Business and Economics are two of our most popular subjects at ALevel,
with over 160 students across Year 12 and 13, achieving outstanding results in both. For
Business A Level, the Edexcel syllabus is followed and AQA syllabus is used for Economics. The
department also delivers Edexcel GCSE Business to over 200 students.
The successful applicant should have either the experience or the potential to raise standards and
attainment in Business and Economics. As a team member you will be supported to develop
outstanding classroom practice with high aspirations for students. Through your passion for
learning you will develop new and creative ideas, embedding an enjoyment of your subject into
lessons.
The School has a strongly supportive ethos and is deeply committed to the professional
